David Beckham - How well is he doing in the USA?

David Beckham is by all accounts playing very well across the pond at the moment. He and Landon Donavon
are working well together. Beckham is scoring goals and setting up goals for fun - but how much credit should
he really get?
Don't get me wrong, I like Becks and as far as football bets go I think it is a safe to say that he will be part of
Fabio Capello's England plans for a few years to come and potentially even for the 2010 World Cup. I also think
he would be a major part of England's Euro 2008 plans if they had managed to qualify that is.
However, my problem is that the standard of MLS football is poor. It is at the same level as the

However, my problem is that the standard of MLS football is poor. It is at the same level as the
in England and arguably on a par with League One. Danny Dichio is a star in America and I doubt he would get
anywhere near many Championship teams at the moment. That says a lot.
A player of Beckham's quality should be dominating in America and to an extent he is - but I just feel he should
still be playing in Europe at this stage of his career - if he really valued his England place.
